In addition to organising local training events, another key component of the Kerakoll training program is the conference schedule, a high-end profile and expert point of reference for the design world.
Through its internal team of expert professionals Kerakoll organises specialist technical and scientific conventions, meetings and seminars for various purposes:
>to encourage dialogue with institutions, professional organisations, Italian superintendencies, trade associations and the academic world on contemporary issues (social housing, energy efficiency in buildings, sustainable building, and looking after the environment);
> to sustain and develop the technical training and preparation of design and construction professionals and to find real answers to all their needs;
> to establish dialogue with the design world and foster together state-of-the-art technical solutions.
The 2009 conference program was particularly busy with 98 conferences and technical seminars and almost 14,000 participants; it was organised under the aegis and in partnership with professional organisations, institutes of technology, universities, archdioceses and important bodies and institutions such as the architecture section of Il Sole 24 Ore, Assorestauro, Inbar (national institute of bio-architecture), ANAB (National Association of Bio-ecological Architecture), and ANIT (National Association for Thermal Insulation and Soundproofing).
Subjects covered ranged from sustainable architecture to energy saving, social housing and conservation, the restoration of historic buildings, the building of ecologically compatible schools and safety on construction sites.
